From the director of PRISONERS comes this taut, critically acclaimed thriller filled with pulse-pounding suspense. After an idealistic FBI agent (Emily Blunt) is recruited by a government task-force official (Josh Brolin) to pursue a drug lord, she begins a perilous mission that forces her to question everything she believes—and pits her against a shadowy consultant (Oscar® winner Benicio Del Toro) with a dangerous agenda.

  • Could have been so much more...

It was fun but way too short (for the story it tells), character development (if any) basically started when the movie was almost done and while there were some nice action scenes, this movie leaves you behind with a bitter taste. I get it, it is supposed to be some sort of reminder of the cruel Mexican cartel wars and the involvement of some US agencies in this but overall, this movie just didn’t deliver, even if the story was interesting and even had a moment or two of suspense. Watch it once, then forget about it.
  • Riveting , timely, unpolished

This raw in your face glance into the high stakes game of drug cartels, crooked cops, CIA and MERCENARIES.... AND THE DALY CARNAGE THAT HAS BECOME LIFE IN MEXICO. SOBERING AND POWERFUL, A MUST SEE!!!
  • Worst ever watched

This is the worst movie ever watched
  • Keeps you on your toes

One of my favorite movies! Keeps you on edge and engage the entire time. Not your typical good guy bad guy predictable movie
  • Laughably bad. Why is Emily Blunt even in this?

    By sowhatyouwilllive
We're supposed to believe that Emily Blunt's stupid character would be a part of any of these drug cartel sting operations? Her grating role is just one glaring failing of this boring, uninvolving movie that is made worse with the pointless "diversity" casting of Blunt and her equally unnecessary black sidekick. If you're looking for drug cartel themed entertainment, stick with Breaking Bad - this is a bad trip.
  • Great story and cast!

I enjoyed every second of this movie. The entire cast was great, and thje story tells a dark tale of the horror of the drug war at the border. Highly recommended.
  • Very good

  • Good Movie

Better than I expected. More than a standard police procedural. Explores cartels and government.
  • That crying lady ruined this movie

    By thenuttzzzzzzzzzzz
Emily Blunt made this movie a “meh” choice due to her crying and complaining every 10 mins. She just about ruined this movie for me but thankfully there’s plenty of action and a decent story line. I really hope she’s not in the upcoming film.
  • Rarest opportunity of a movie perfected in every way

I never seen a movie done so well. Not a single film could keep me on the edge of my seat through the entire thing! Nothing is safe, and everyone is a threat.
