Not your typical Hollywood movie and I was glad to see Mat Damon take a less commercial role. The movie is hilarious and I wouldn’t change a thing about it - it’s perfect.

I had high hopes for this. The first 40 minutes didn’t let me down. I’ve never seen something that so quickly falls flat on its face. How in the world did the writer and director choose to take this movie in the direction it took. This had potential to be amazing. Sadly, past 40 minutes, it’s a complete, strangely written, failure.
  • Half A Movie

Half of downsizing was ok but the last half wasnt even watchable. Two actors were totally unbearable to listen to them speak at all. The Tai house cleaner with the prothetic leg; her voice was irritating as hell. The older swedish lady’s voice was also really irratating. Really ruined the entire movie which seemed to have an interesting premise and had Matt, Wigg, Christoph.... how did it go so horribly wrong? Terrible directing, writing, and casting but only on the last half. This movie is a prime example of some investor with lots of money that should not be allowed to spend it.

I never write reviews but this movie is just not worth your time or money. I made the mistake of purchasing it before I watched it. Now I am embarrassed I own this movie. It started as one movie and ended as a completely different movie. I think the idea could of made a great movie but it didn’t. Don’t waste your time.

  • Could have been something......

The previews are cherry picked moments of........... some other movie, this movie has no comedy at all, there is no point in the movie, Matt Damon should be ashamed to have his name in the credits. I have rarely watched a movie that forces me to warn others to not watch it, but this is the one, stay away, watch a couple hours of C-SPAN instead.

I’m not sure why people did not like this movie. I think it showed true nature of all people. Those in it for the money, those for the party, and those humanist. The main character has no idea who he is until the end. He is just a lost soul trying to find his way. So if that is not your type of movie then don’t see it.
  • It wasn’t too bad

I’m not a big fan of this movie, so I wasn’t that excited to see it, but it wasn’t so bad to the point where I could only give it one star. I just thought it was boring.

Felt as though I should of been the one being paid to watch this garbage! So disappointing! Could of been a good film, however they really dropped the ball with this one. If possible would give it negative star:(
  • Different Concept

I don’t know why the reviews for this movie are so horrible. I absolutely loved it! I loved the concept and the comical lines addd throughout the movie. You can compare it to Honey I Shrunk the Kids or Honey I Shrunk myself but it’s a completely different storyline. I felt the ending could have been a little better but overall I really enjoyed it. A movie for the entire family to enjoy despite some of the bad language.
