Following their Lovecraftian modern cult classic SPRING, acclaimed filmmakers Moorhead and Benson return with this mind-bending thriller that follows two brothers who receive a cryptic video message inspiring them to revisit the UFO death cult they escaped a decade earlier. Hoping to find the closure that they couldn't as young men, they're forced to reconsider the cult's beliefs when confronted with unexplainable phenomena surrounding the camp. As the members prepare for the coming of a mysterious event, the brothers race to unravel the seemingly impossible truth before their lives become permanently entangled with the cult.

This movie is great. I highly recomend seeking out the directors previous movie, Resolution, as it will add an extra layer to this movie. That said I think The Endless can be enjoyed on its own. Loved the story, the pacing, and the acting.
  • Interesting but disappointing

This was an interesting movie that kept my attention but ultimately I did not like. The promise of the first part was squandered in the last part. The people who like this movie may claim that those who don't like it don't like movies that require them to think. Perhaps. But somewhere along the line that thinking should lead to at least some conclusions. The Endless sets up enigas and mysteries that are not only not explained, but do not provide enough information to allow that thinking to lead anywhere. I can appreciate a good mind-bender (check out a Spanish film "TimeCrimes" as a good example) and you don't have to expain everyting but, PLEASE, give me at least a little plot-resolutions-satisfaction. Requiring you to think shouldn't mean requring the audience to invent half the plot or backstory. Bottom line is: you don't have to feel like your intelligencen or perceptiveness is lacking in any way because some filmmaker or scriptwriter invents somethng in THEIR mind that doesnt' make sense in YOUR mind. Maybe the problem isn't you......

Ultimately this movie was just boring. A very interesting concept for sure but not well executed. Not scary, had me checking my phone for the time. Was hoping for so much more...

First 30 minutes and I was asleep. Not worth to watch. Waste of time. Not like it was presented in trailer

This was pretty good. However Benson and Moorhead’s other film and prequel to this one, Resolution, I thought was better. You won’t understand this one without seeing resolution.
  • Loathed this.

Oh, this was just awful, pointless drivel. At first I thought it was some kind of joke that this was classified as cinema; the acting is bland, sterile and painfully sad to watch. I am so disappointed I paid for this. The plot is full of nonsensical holes; I hear better stories from three-year-olds.

Very good, left me suspicious about the consciousness of every Monday morning.

It could’ve been interesting, except it wasn’t. At all. They never fully explained what was happening and it was difficult to stay interested in the plot for long stretches of the movie.
