Two carefree pals (Ralph Macchio and Mitchell Whitfield) traveling through Alabama are mistakenly arrested, and charged with murder. Vinny's never been in court - or in Alabama - and when he arrives with his leather-clad girlfriend (Marisa Tomei in her OscarĀ® winning Supporting Actress performance), to try his first case, it's a real shock - for him and the Deep South!

One of my favorites. Joe Peschi's performance as a lawyer fresh out of law school as he to learns the ropes as a trial lawyer is spot-on. Marisa Tomei as his girlfriend is simply hilarious. And Fred Gwynn is perfect as the weary, not always tolerant judge trying to put up with another green lawyer. Anyone who loves a good courtroom story will get a kick out of this.
